When a household or a company wants to see your profile, you choose how:
- Show your QR code on your phone. They scan it and see your confirmed profile.
- Or read out your six-digit PIN. It stops working after a day.
- Companies ask in the app first. You see who is asking and say yes or no.

What workers ask us.
Does it cost me anything?
No. Your profile, the Ghana Card check, references and sharing are free for workers, always. Companies pay when they check candidates.
What do I need?
A phone that can install apps, your Ghana Card for the identity check, and the phone numbers of people you have worked for.
Who can see my profile?
Only people you give your PIN or QR code to, and companies you say yes to. Nobody can search for you or browse profiles.
What if a past employer won't answer?
Their reference simply stays pending; it never counts against you. The link in their text works for 14 days. If they miss it, add other people you worked for.
Can I ask my friend to vouch for me?
Only people you actually worked for should be your referees. Backmi checks for references from your own number or phone, for two people listing each other, and for numbers used by many workers; those count for nothing.
Something on my profile is wrong. What can I do?
Email us at info@modularpath.dev with your phone number and what is wrong. We look into it and correct what isn't right.
