About these terms
Backmi is provided by ModularPath Systems, Accra, Ghana. By using Backmi you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice. If you use Backmi for a company, you agree on behalf of that company.
Who can use Backmi
You must be 18 or over. Each person may have one profile, in their own name, matching their Ghana Card.
If you are a worker
- Give true information about yourself and your past work.
- Only list people you actually worked for as referees, with their correct phone numbers.
- Don't answer your own reference requests or ask someone to answer them for you. References that break these rules count for nothing and may be removed.
- You decide who sees your profile. Sharing a PIN or saying yes to a company is your choice each time.
If you are a referee
Answer honestly about the work you saw. Answer “No” if you don't know the person. Hirers the worker shares with see your answers, never your name or phone number.
If you check someone
- Use Backmi only to decide about work: hiring, placing or engaging someone.
- Only request checks on people you are genuinely considering, and only with a real job in mind.
- Keep reports confidential within the people who need them for that decision, and don't share PINs you are given.
- Don't treat anyone unfairly because of their profile in ways the law forbids. A score is a summary of what others confirmed; use it with an interview and your own judgement.
Things nobody may do
- Create fake profiles, references, ratings or documents.
- Guess PINs, copy data out of Backmi in bulk, or try to get around our checks.
- Harass workers or referees, or use their details for anything other than the check.
What Backmi does, and doesn't, promise
We check identity through Dojah and the National Identification Authority, collect confirmations from referees, and check documents with their issuers. We take care to get this right, but we rely on what others tell us. A Backmi profile is not a guarantee of anyone's future conduct, and it does not replace a police clearance certificate where the law requires one.
Mistakes and disagreements
If something on a profile or report is wrong, email info@modularpath.dev. We look into it, mark it while we check, and correct it if needed.
Ending your use
You can stop using Backmi and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Liability
As far as the law allows, ModularPath Systems is not responsible for hiring decisions made using Backmi, or for losses caused by information that a referee or another third party gave us. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ghanaian law that cannot be limited.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
